There’s something about Stockholm that stays in your body.

Maybe it’s the sound of sneakers against wet pavement after midnight. Maybe it’s the way the city shifts between quiet beauty and restless energy. Maybe it’s the mix of old stone streets, neon reflections, crowded corners, hidden bars, basement clubs and people moving through the night like they’re all carrying a secret.

For us, Stockholm isn’t just where we’re from. It’s where Rebel Exo started.

We grew up walking these streets, watching the city change with every season and every song in our headphones. Götgatsbacken on a busy afternoon. Swedenborgsgatan when the evening starts to feel alive. Gamla Stan when the light hits the old buildings and everything suddenly feels cinematic. These places have always been part of our rhythm.

Stockholm taught us contrast.

It can be cold, stylish and distant one second — then warm, chaotic and loud the next. That’s probably why our sound became what it is: club energy with rap attitude, melodies with bite, breakbeats with feeling. We like music that moves between control and chaos, just like the city does.

Growing up here, you learn to read the room. You learn when to stay quiet, when to speak up, when to laugh, when to disappear, and when to take over completely. That energy shaped us. The confidence, the irony, the street feeling, the “we don’t give a fuck” attitude — it all comes from being young, restless and curious in a city that never fully gives itself away.

Stockholm is polished on the surface, but underneath there’s another world. Rehearsal rooms, late-night studios, underground dancefloors, weird conversations outside venues, half-finished lyrics written on the train, beats made after everyone else has gone home. That’s the Stockholm we belong to.

The real one.

The one that taught us to be sharp, playful, independent and a little impossible to predict.

When we walk through our hometown now, we don’t just see streets. We see memories. First songs. First nights out. First shows. Bad ideas that became good stories. Good ideas that became tracks. People we lost. People we found. Versions of ourselves we had to outgrow.

And somewhere in all of that, Rebel Exo became real.

This city gave us our edge. It gave us our humor. It gave us our hunger. It gave us the feeling that you can be soft and hard at the same time — stylish and messy, focused and chaotic, serious and ridiculous.

That’s our Stockholm.

Our home. Our playground. Our pressure point. Our haven.

And we’re still walking.
